The brilliant young Argentinean pianist, Ingrid Fliter, plays music by her signature composers, Beethoven and Chopin, on her debut tour to Australia. Born in Buenos Aires, she now divides her time between Europe and the USA, performing with many of the world’s leading orchestras. Ingrid Fliter was presented with the prestigious Gilmore Artist Award in 2006, a prize that recognises a pianist of superb skill and profound musicianship. Other accolades include the silver medal at the 2000 Frederic Chopin Competition in Warsaw. In this recital, Ingrid Fliter performs two composers with whom she is closely associated, Beethoven and Chopin.
